Recent Activities
The
following is a short synopsis of what transpired at the various “Planned”
SSSACC activities during the last year.

SACC
2011 Convention
On Sunday, Jan 30, registrants and their guests began
arriving at the Holiday Inn, East Gate, in Kissimmee for the 2011 SACC National
Convention. For Details and

Silver
Springs November 2010
The 13th annual Silver Springs Corvette show sponsored by
Marion County Corvette Club was held in early November. SSSACC attendees included: Bill Herron and
his red ’57 and Tom Blount and his silver/white ’60. Two other SACC members were in attendance
with their black/silver ’58 (the people’s choice winner) and a red ’62. And SSSACC member John Luther had his black
’57 parked with his local Corvette Club.

Sebring
Historic Races – Revisited Oct 2010
On 21 October,
members of SSSACC arrived at Sebring for the Historic Sports Car Racing (HSR)
event of the year. For Details

2010 SACC
Convention Highlights
The 2010 SACC National
Convention in Bowling Green has come and gone – about 75 participants (members
and significant others) attended the convention which was held in Bowling Green
– perhaps 6 miles from the Plant and Museum.

March 5-7, 2010
The
first club activity was held at Sebring Raceway in March. 8 members attended the Historic Sportscar Races as a group.
We stayed in the historic Kenilworth Lodge (built in 1916) in 
downtown
Sebring, dined at the Watering Hole (a great steak house) and, in general, had
a great time.
Here

So
long until next time. Frank Dreano’s grand daughter enjoyed
the races and I see a Corvette in this girl’s future.
23 January 2010
The
first official event for the Sunshine Chapter was the organizational meeting
held at the NCRS Regional in Kissimmee.
At the regional, we signed up 36 new SSSACC members and 
handed out many
additional applications to visitors to the SACC tent. Also, we signed up 13 new members for the
Solid Axle Corvette Club. Plus, Brad
Bean brought his stash of miscellaneous SACC dry goods and knick-knacks – all
of which sold very well to the visitors to the tent. From the left, standing around the SACC

Brad Bean and Karen Russo.
During the Friday organizational
meeting we confirmed the SSSACC slate of officers for our first two years of
